Accessibility statement
Last updated October 30, 2026. JunkRemoval Connect is operated by VistaOpps LLC (“we”, “us”).
We want everyone to be able to find junk removal through JunkRemoval Connect, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technology. This statement explains the standard we follow under our commitment to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), what we've done, what we know isn't perfect yet and how to get help.
The standard we follow
We build and test JunkRemoval Connect to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the accessibility standard most widely used for websites in the United States. It covers the public site, the request form, the dashboard junk-removal companies use and our own admin screens. The parts we don't control are listed under “Known limitations” below.
What we've done
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline, and a “Skip to content” link on every page.
- On the request form, each step has its own heading, and focus moves to that heading when the step changes, so screen readers announce where you are. Progress (“Step 2 of 6”) is shown in text.
- Every form field has a visible label. Mistakes are explained in words next to the field, and screen readers announce them. Nothing relies on color alone.
- Text meets the WCAG contrast minimums (at least 4.5:1 against its background, 3:1 for large text), and form fields have an outline of at least 3:1, so they stand out as fields.
- Pages work at 400% zoom and on screens as narrow as 320 pixels without scrolling sideways, and text can be enlarged in your browser settings.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap easily (at least 24 by 24 pixels).
- Animations are switched off when your device is set to reduce motion.
- The request form doesn't time out while you fill it in, asks for nothing twice and doesn't need a mouse, dragging or a photo. Photos are optional, and a written description is always enough.
- Sign-in works with password managers and pasting; there are no puzzles or memory tests.
How we test
- Every page and every step of the request form, including its error messages, is checked automatically for WCAG 2.2 AA problems (with axe-core) at desktop and phone sizes. These checks are part of the site's automated tests.
- We also test the main tasks with the keyboard alone (sending a request, joining the email list for a ZIP code and claiming a ZIP code) and check that each page reflows at 320 pixels wide.
- Automated checks can't find everything. We haven't yet had an independent audit or testing by people who use assistive technology every day. If something doesn't work for you, please tell us. It helps us fix it for everyone.
Known limitations
- Photos from customers. Photos people add to a request (up to 6) can't be described automatically, so they're labeled “Photo 1 from the request” and so on. The written description of the items is always shown with them.
- Payment pages. Junk-removal companies enter card details on pages hosted by our payment processor, Stripe, which is responsible for their accessibility. If you have trouble there, contact us and we'll help you complete the subscription.
- Holding a ZIP code during checkout. When a company checks out, its ZIP codes are held for 35 minutes so no one else can claim them meanwhile. If the time runs out, nothing is charged and you can simply start again. If you need more time, contact us.
- Emails. Our emails use real text (not images of text) and a plain-text version is always included, but how they look depends on your email app.
Get help or report a problem
If you can't use any part of the site, or find something hard to use, email support@vistaoppsnet.com with “Accessibility” in the subject. Tell us the page and what happened, and the browser and any assistive technology you use if you know them. We reply within two business days.
Can't use the request form? Email support@vistaoppsnet.com your ZIP code, what needs to go and how the company should reach you. We'll send your request to the company that serves your ZIP code for you, or tell you if none does yet.
You can also read our privacy policy and terms of use in full on this site; if you need either in another format, ask us at the same address.
Technical details
JunkRemoval Connect is built with standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with WAI-ARIA where plain HTML isn't enough. It's designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on computers, phones and tablets, and with the assistive technology built into them.
