Privacy policy

Last updated October 30, 2026. JunkRemoval Connect is operated by VistaOpps LLC (“we”, “us”).

JunkRemoval Connect helps people find a local junk-removal company. Each ZIP code is served by one independent company on JunkRemoval Connect, and a request goes only to that company. This policy explains what we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It covers this website, the request form, the email list for ZIP codes, the accounts junk-removal companies use and the emails we send.

The short version

  • Your request goes to one company: the independent junk-removal company that serves your ZIP code. No one else gets it.
  • We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it to show you ads.
  • Photos are private, have their location data removed and are deleted after 12 months.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at support@vistaoppsnet.com.

What we collect

When you ask for junk removal

  • Your request: the ZIP code; whether it's for a home or a business (and the business's name); what needs to go and about how much; where the items are, for example up stairs; when you need it done; and anything else you tell us.
  • Photos, if you choose to add them (up to 6). We remove the location and camera details stored inside photos before we keep them.
  • Your name, email address and mobile phone number, and the best time to reach you.
  • A record of what you agreed to: the exact wording of the boxes you ticked and when you ticked them.
  • We don't ask for your street address. The company asks for it if you book a job.

When you join the email list for a ZIP code

Your email address, the ZIP code and a record of your consent.

When you run a junk-removal company with an account

  • The business's name, address and website, and your name, phone number and email address.
  • Your password, which our sign-in provider stores only in a scrambled (hashed) form that no one can read.
  • The terms you agreed to, with their wording, version and time, and your confirmation that the business is licensed and insured.
  • Your ZIP codes, subscription, invoices, payments and refunds. Card details are entered on our payment processor Stripe's pages and kept by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • The status changes and notes you add to inquiries.

Automatically, when anyone uses the site

  • Our hosting provider records technical details of each visit, such as IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time, to keep the site secure and running.
  • To stop spam and abuse, we keep a one-way scrambled form of your IP address (never the address itself) for up to 24 hours.
  • Cookies, only as described under Cookies.

How we use it

  • To send your request to the company that serves your ZIP code, email you a copy, and tell you if it can't be sent.
  • To email you once if a company starts serving a ZIP code you asked about.
  • To run company accounts: sign-in, ZIP codes, billing, the first-month guarantee and messages about the account.
  • To keep the service safe and working: stopping spam, fraud and abuse, fixing problems and keeping records of consent.
  • To learn which of our ads work, only if ad measurement is switched on and you haven't opted out (see Your privacy choices).
  • To follow the law and enforce our terms.

We don't use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we don't build advertising profiles about you.

Who receives it

  • The junk-removal company that serves your ZIP code receives your whole request, including photos, and your contact details, so it can contact you about this request. It's an independent business, not part of JunkRemoval Connect, and once it has your details its own privacy practices apply too. It may call, text or email you about your request, as you agreed. If you ask it to stop, it must.
  • If no company serves your ZIP code, nobody receives anything. We tell you before you fill in the form, and we don't keep a request.
  • If the company that serves your ZIP code can't take new requests for a short time, for example because a payment is late, we hold your request for it for up to 14 days and send it once it can, or tell you that we couldn't.
  • Our team at VistaOpps LLC, to run and support the service.
  • Service providers that process information for us, under contract and only on our instructions: Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (sending email), Stripe (payments for company subscriptions) and Google (ad measurement, only if it's switched on and you haven't opted out).
  • Others, when the law requires it, to protect anyone's rights or safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy keeps applying to your information.

We don't sell personal information. We don't give it to data brokers or let other companies use it for their own marketing.

Cookies

  • Junk-removal companies and our team get cookies that keep them signed in. These are needed for the account to work.
  • You don't need any cookies to ask for junk removal.
  • We don't use analytics cookies. Google's advertising cookies are used only if we switch on ad measurement, and never when you opt out or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
  • Your browser's local storage may hold your privacy choice, and, for companies when ad measurement is on, a note that stops a subscription from being counted twice.

Your privacy choices

Nothing to switch off right now.

This site doesn't use advertising or analytics tags or cookies at the moment, and we don't sell or share your information. If we start measuring our ads, you'll be able to turn that off here, and a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser will turn it off automatically.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a setting in some browsers and extensions that asks websites not to sell or share your information. We treat it as a request to opt out, automatically.

To come off the email list for a ZIP code before we send its one email, email support@vistaoppsnet.com.

How long we keep it

  • Requests, contact details and records of consent: up to 3 years after the request, then deleted, so the company can look back at the job and we can show what was agreed.
  • Requests that couldn't be sent to any company: deleted 30 days after we tell you.
  • Photos: deleted 12 months after the request, or with the request if it's deleted sooner. Photos added to a form that was never sent are deleted within 2 days.
  • The email list: we delete your address once we've sent the one email, or after 12 months if no company starts serving that ZIP code.
  • Company accounts: while the account is open. When an account is closed, we delete its details when asked, except billing and tax records the law requires us to keep, usually for seven years.
  • Spam checks: up to 24 hours. Visit records: for a short period set by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy (access and portability);
  • correct information that's wrong;
  • delete your information, except what the law requires us to keep, such as billing records;
  • stop any sale or sharing of it, or its use for targeted advertising. We don't do these, except Google ad measurement when it's switched on, which you can turn off above.

Several states give these rights by law, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas and Virginia. We honor them for everyone, and we won't treat you differently for using them.

How to ask. Email support@vistaoppsnet.com with “Privacy request” in the subject, from the address you used with us if you can. We'll confirm we have it within 10 business days and answer within 45 days, or tell you if we need up to 45 more. To protect you, we'll check that the request comes from you, usually by email. Someone else can ask for you with your signed permission.

If we say no. You can appeal by replying to our answer with “Appeal”. We'll reply within 60 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact your state's attorney general.

For California residents. In the last 12 months we collected the categories described above: identifiers (such as name, email, phone and IP address), customer records, commercial information (company subscriptions), internet activity on our site, approximate location (ZIP code), photos, professional information about companies, and account sign-in details, which we use only to run the account. We disclosed them for business purposes to the recipients listed under “Who receives it”. We have not sold personal information, and we share it for cross-context behavioral advertising only if Google ad measurement is switched on. We don't disclose personal information to others for their direct marketing.

Calls and texts

JunkRemoval Connect doesn't call or text you. When you send a request, you agree that the company serving your ZIP code may contact you about it by phone, text or email. That isn't a condition of buying anything, message and data rates may apply to texts, and you can tell the company to stop at any time.

Children

The site is for adults. It isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, email support@vistaoppsnet.com and we'll delete it.

Keeping it safe

Information travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is stored with providers that encrypt it at rest. Each junk-removal company can see only the inquiries sent to it. Photos are kept in private storage and shown only through links that expire after 10 minutes. Passwords are stored only in scrambled form. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Where it's kept

In the United States. JunkRemoval Connect is for people and businesses in the U.S.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so on this page and email companies with accounts before it takes effect.
